Sunny September

We returned from WSM on the Monday and then made preparations for Andy, Maggie and Tara to stay at the weekend. As is our luck this year the weather as you can see is superb and much of the weekend was spent outside.

Lunch in the garden.

Saturday evening Jane and Ron joined us for my birthday meal. My age is a closely guarded secret, but I hope the Department for Work and Pensions come up trumps in 2 years time!

Now I know someone reads this blog. A pressie from Jane and Ron. If you don’t get it, read the WSM blog.

We had to check out the caravan and be in the area of Wimborne so we visited Kingston Lacey NT property. We are NT members so we just popped in and had a wander around the gardens. We finished off with tea and cakes, yummy!

On the Friday of the same week Sue and I went off for a circular walk which included a few geocaches. The walk started at Whitsbury, just north of Fordingbridge, next to the Whitsbury Manor Stables. We didn’t see one horse, but I am sure there are some around. Well, the walk turned into a bit of a farce because the route we took was the same route, in reverse, to the Trafalgar School sponsored walk. A quiet walk it was not. We were told that 600 pupils were on the walk so by the time we had passed 300 I changed our route to avoid them.

The photo is taken close to the stables.

You might have noticed in the bottom right hand corner of the blog a new addition. This is something I read about recently and decided to give it a try. Library Thing is a website where you log the books you have read/reading and you can rate them. Suggestions are made as to what other books you might like to read. There are lots of other bits and pieces I have yet to discover, but I thought SueJ might like it and any other avid readers out there. I do not count myself as an avid reader.
